US Army Corps of Engineers
The US Army Corps of Engineers Afghanistan Engineer District (AED) formally stood up March 2004. Prior to being formally recognized as the AED, the Corps had an area office in Kabul, where the Headquarters currently resides. AED has a broad mission and area of responsibility. There are three major program areas: the U.S. Forces Program; the Afghan National Army – ANA – Program; and the U.S. Agency for International Development – USAID – Reconstruction of Afghanistan Program. AED’s geographic area of responsibility currently includes Afghanistan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, and Tajikistan.
US Department of Agriculture
The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), also known as the Agriculture Department, is the U.S. federal executive department responsible for developing and executing federal government policy on farming, agriculture, forestry, and food. It aims to meet the needs of farmers and ranchers, promote agricultural trade and production, work to assure food safety, protect natural resources, foster rural communities and end hunger in the United States and abroad.

International Affairs performs constant surveillance and in-depth analysis of global economic and financial developments and then engages with financial market participants, foreign governments, international financial institutions, and in multilateral fora to develop and promote good policies.
US Geological Survey
As the Nation's largest water, earth, and biological science and civilian mapping agency, the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) collects, monitors, analyzes, and provides scientific understanding about natural resource conditions, issues, and problems. The diversity of our scientific expertise enables us to carry out large-scale, multi-disciplinary investigations and provide impartial scientific information to resource managers, planners, and other customers.
