Kimberly Rosen serves as the Mission Director for USAID/Kyrgyz Republic. The USAID/Kyrgyz Republic portfolio focuses on economic growth, democracy and governance, health and education reform.
Previously, Ms. Rosen served as the Director of West Africa Affairs Office where she led interagency coordination and policy development for the region. Prior to that, she served as the Deputy Mission Director in Liberia from 2011 - 2013. She also served as the Director of the Economic Growth Office in USAID/Afghanistan and oversaw the growth of the program from $70 million to $150 million.
Other assignments include: Director of the Cuban Affairs Office, a non-presence program that promotes human rights, the free flow of information, and civil society development; Senior Financial Sector Consultant in USAID’s Microenterprise Development Office; and Country Desk Officer for Indonesia and Cambodia.
A former Peace Corps volunteer in Russia, Ms. Rosen has degrees in Commerce and Engineering Sciences (B.S.) and Finance (M.B.A.) from Drexel University and International Affairs (M.A.) from Columbia University.
