On September 24, USAID’s Healthy Markets activity teamed up with Life Centre (an NGO) and Lighthouse (a social enterprise) to promote HIV products and services at VietPride, Vietnam’s national LGBT+ festival.

With nearly 200 participants from academia, government, scholars, scientists, and development partners, the conference aimed to connect research, policy development, and lawmaking in order to bring education closer to the realities of life in a dynamic knowledge-based economy.
Vietnam is currently transitioning more than 100,000 antiretroviral therapy (ART) patients from externally-funded to locally-financed treatment services under social health insurance (SHI). Signing up for insurance requires patients to complete multiple and often challenging administrative procedures.
