WASHINGTON, D.C. - U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) Administrator Gayle Smith will travel to New York City to lead the USAID delegation at the 71st UN General Assembly from September 19-22. Administrator Smith will also attend President Obama's Leaders' Summit on Refugees, the U.S. - Africa Business Forum, and several high-level meeting and events. USAID will host world leaders and the international community for a signature event, Shared Progress: Modernizing Development Finance. Administrator Smith will deliver opening remarks. Speakers will include Donald Kaberuka, Christine Lagarde, Elizabeth Littlefield, and Paul Polman.
